Oh Zara Kids how I heart you so.  So, here is a selection of their Spring '11 collection.  How can someone pick from this adorable shoes.  

Here's one of my most recent sewing projects. This is one of three dresses I made using old t-shirts from the thrift store.

Party Day!

I had the hardest time finding socks with ruffles so I had to make my own.  It was pretty easy to do but I think I may do knee highs next time.  As for the headband I found a stretchy headband at the dollar store and glued one of my scrapbooking flowers to it.  

 

 

 
 

Tea cup lamp

Of course this is a Marie Claire work of art.  Checking out ebay looking for tea cups and pots to make this floor lamp.  This is going to be an amazing addition to my daughters room.

 

Twilight Movie Bedrooms

So here are a couple of rooms I designed (along with the bedding) for the New Moon movie.  These rooms are what I call fast past designing.  I think I had about 8 other rooms to design along with this group and only a week to do it.  Just had to bang them out!  Very stressful but very fun!!  Please note these rooms are designed for the teen market and no adults were considered during this process :)!  I will post the trend boards that I designed for the rooms later.

This is the Wolf Pack Room

Love the orange ghost chairs very cheap.  Feather on wall is just a peel and stick decal.  Found the head board for about $125 and just painted an orange lacquer.  Wood grain wallpaper from ebay.  I decided not to go up and down  with the wallpaper (way to boring).  Side to side seemed more current.

 

This is the Cullen's Room  

The alabaster deer head may seem weird but if you know the Cullen family they only "feed" off of wild life in the woods.  Ok it was funny at the time.  Frames were some old flea market find sprayed bright pink.  

Romance Room 

I don't think it shows up in the photo.  The headboard is a DIY project.  I ordered scrapbook paper that looked like love letters.  Use modpodge to apply love letters to wall.  We framed it out with regular moulding and sprayed it gold and then applied a stain to tone down brightness.  The top of the headboard was a piece found for $30.  

 
 

 

 

Vintage Plates

So, I finally got the plates added to my daughters wall.  I have to admit this project just drags on.  Going to hit the flea markets this weekend to find things to store her dolls. Still searching for something to go over the tufted headboard.  

 

Little Girls Room Decor Phase 1

We have been busy at our house.  Our 3 year old is getting her room done over.  The crib/jr.  bed is GONE!!!  She's so happy.  

Having trouble figuring how to mount the headboard using the "Z" brackets.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Once that's done we can have fun accessorizing the room.  Still up in the air about the bedding I want.   Will post more pics soon!


   

The little embellished top!!!

I was so inspired by an adult version of this top, that I had to make one for my daughter.  I know it's for adults but I thought it could trickle down to kids.  Very simple and easy to do.  I think I made this for $3.00 (including the top). 

Creative T-shirt

I'm so inspired by this top.  Too bad it doesn't come in kids sizes.  I love the creative mind.

Vogue Teen ran a spread on how to make this some time back and I tore out the instructions and

never got around to it.  I think I have a weekend project.   You can find the adult version on etsy
